I applied as purchasing officer to a newly opened school in our area. They were badly in need of  ideal computers:  Custom Computers and Custom Laptops. I have a good knowledge of  a Custom Computer and a Custom Laptop and have acquired vital information about it.  I was hired even if I was not expert on it, maybe because my asking salary was within their budget.

They needed every Custom Computer installed with, naturally, an operating system, a simple graphic design and creativity techniques, internet communications, games, networking among other things.  But the most important was the security provisions. Each Custom Laptop must have the same prerequisite.  The net became my assistant and in no time I had the brands available and the capabilities of each. I had the bottom line figures of each when loaded with the requirements complete with storage facilities.
The spreadsheet was the subject of the board meeting that followed.  The Custom Laptops were for the faculty while the Custom Computers were for the students.  Cost was not a major issue.  Security was because I found out that the students were in the early stages of their education.  I am so glad to be a part of the mission vision of this school:  to ensure that our students not only grow up computer literate but responsible information technology users as well.
